This apple melon juice is both pretty and delicious. Made with whole fruits this juice is full of fibre to actually fill you up instead of just drinking empty calories.
This apple melon juice is probably the prettiest drink I have ever made. Now I am personally very partial to the colour orange and this juice is the perfect shade of orange. And it is damn delicious as well.
I have mentioned before that I am pretty good at keeping my sugar consumption minimal. Since I eat almost no processed foods and don’t add sugar to anything I eat almost no sugar. I will occasional have a treat which does have sugar in it as I personally believe sugar in moderation is not an issue. However I have one downfall, soft drinks.
Even though I know very well that soft drinks are not good for you at all and contain ridiculous amounts of sugar, I still can’t stop drinking them entirely. I have greatly improved from when I was a teenager and when I used to easily drink a 2 litre bottle a day. By now I might have one can of coke a week, I stopped buying coke at grocery stories quite a while ago, this was the first step to cutting out soft drinks. Since I know have to specifically go out and buy more expensive cans I am less inclined to buy it.
Unfortunately I still get cravings for soft drinks sometimes. Water just doesn’t excite me in the slightest. I tried to drink tea but the only way to make that enjoyable was to add sugar, which really just defeats the purpose of it all.
Now what is helping me and I would suggest to try if you struggle with soft drinks as well, is sweet smoothies and juices. I try and stick to juices I make in a blender so that I am still consuming a whole fruit including the fibre. Which are a much better alternative to store bought juices.
Whenever I feel like drinking a soft drink now, I drink one of these juices or smoothies instead to curb my cravings.
