If you have been following this blog for a little while you know that there is nothing I love more than sweet smoothies. I try to eat healthy for the most part and I have definitely improved how I live my life every since I started living vegan.
I cut out almost all soft drinks (I do still have the occasional can of coke but am no longer guzzling down coke like water). All my other unhealthy foods have been cut out simply because they are not vegan so that made my healthy living a lot easier.
To get my sweet fix I do drink a lot of sweet fruit based smoothies and I receive occasional comments or email that my smoothie are just not healthy enough. And I hear you criticisms and I have improved my healthy smoothie game however sometime I will still focus on a less healthy and more sweet smoothie. Today is one of those days, for today I have opted to share a poached pear smoothie. About two weeks ago I shared a recipe for vanilla poached pears and I made some more over the weekend and I decided to use the left over poached pears in a smoothie and it worked very well. Is it the healthiest smoothie out there? No. But it is damn tasty though.
